Explore the Old Cliff Baths of Enniscrone

Enniscrone, Ireland

Description

Added by Danielle Sharples

Enjoy the beach and imagine what a sea weed bath would have been like in 1850 Ireland.

The Old Cliff Baths are located at the northern end of Enniscrone beach in County Sligo. My friends and I walked along the shore from her cottage to view this old abandoned building on the beach. The beach has beautiful views that stretch 5km backed with sand dunes. Cars have limited access to park at the beach but parking in town to walk the rest is easily worth it.

If you're looking for a relaxing day at the beach with a little extra history to explore then this is for you. There are restaurants nearby to grab a bite to eat, but make sure you stop to photograph the Cliff Bath.

*If you're feeling exceptionally curious you can try a sea weed bath at Kilcullen's Seaweed Baths.
