Outbound Reviewed: Forsake Range Lows in Iceland

For a trip to Iceland, "comfortable" and "waterproof" are two attributes you'll absolutely want in your shoes. It's also a good thing to have some style. Say hello to the new Forsake Range Low.

Getting the proper shoes for an Iceland adventure is very important. This should not be taken lightly! The amount of walking and hiking you'll be doing means your feet will be getting very tired. Additionally, the country is most definitely not the driest place on earth. Puddles, lakes, streams, rivers, waterfalls and more. Water is everywhere and you won't want your feet getting soaked.

This is where a pair of the Forsake Range Low for men and women come in handy!

Style

First, the Forsake Range Lows are both really good looking shoes. One look at these and you wouldn't know they were full-fledged hiking shoes. For those who don't want a high-ankle shoe, the shallow profile of the Range Lows are perfect.

The colors are perfect for mixing with a variety of different clothes and colors.

Comfort

Second, these are some super comfortable shoes. I'm not the least bit surprised by this, as we've used previous pairs on a backpacking trip in Colorado (Rattlesnake Arches Trail, Dominguez-Escalante NCA, Black Ridge Canyons) and absolutely loved them. They feel very light for a hiking shoe, yet extremely durable. Plus, they breathe really well.

Waterproof

Lastly, as I mentioned above, waterproof shoes are a necessity in Iceland if you really want to go exploring.

There were a few waterfalls and streams that I had no issue getting close to and wading through, knowing that the Range Lows were fully capable of remaining 100% dry.

In order to get to the Gljúfrabúi Waterfall, you'll need to cross through a stream that's several inches deep.

Talk about an amazing reward for trekking through a small stream!

I highly recommend the Range Lows for your next adventure, or any of Forsake's shoes for that matter. They make really well-made shoes that are not only stylish, but durable, too. The Forsake Range Low for men and women are the perfect companion for an Icelandic adventure!
