Beautiful little walk through an enchanted grove

The lighting in the tunnel really is perfect. Just have battle the other visitors to get it empty!

You caught it on a beautiful day! Great shots

Another hidden gem close to the Bay Area! If you are a climber there are few outdoor spots close to SF that compare to this. Also the hiking is incredible with endless views. Keep your eyes out for Condors!

Sand Dollar is one of the more accessible beaches along the coast and when the waves are good, an awesome surf spot. Unfortunately right now with the winter storms all the sand has been washed out and what was a sandy beach is now millions of rocks!

Most people who drive Hwy 1 are looking out to the ocean and stop at many of the pull offs to feast on the view and stretch their bones. But don't forget to look inland about 5 miles south of Gorda by the Sea and you'll see the waterfall right from the road. Only 100 yards or so from the highway the trail will lead you right to the bottom of this beautiful fall!

A beautiful spot to watch the sunset! Easy to get too, though parking can be tough if it's a nice day! My only wish is that the sun set closer to the arch!

Such a gorgeous hike through massive redwoods! Guys, If you're looking for a great spot to propose this is the one. My now wife was very happy!

This is a great option if you don't have a site reserved anywhere else. It's about a 45 min drive up Nacamiento from the coast. Definitely suggest taking an off road vehicle since halfway up it turns into dirt as can get a little gnarly. Also during the summer there are an outrageous amount of flies and honestly makes it unbearable if you don't have an enclosed tent! Late fall and winter months are the best!

Definitely recommend this spot. It's not the easiest place to get to from SF but so worth it. The camp hosts are awesome and even let us gather food for our fire instead of carrying it in. The hikes to the river gorge are incredible also the swinging bridge is so cool. If you have a dirt bike you can make it all the way to the coast though it's about 20+ miles.

Definitely feel like you're in a foreign land exploring through the gorge! If you're able to hike in a small raft I recommend paddling through the deeper sections. Maybe I'm just a wimp but swimming was tough in the freezing water!

This light house is so photogenic! Took a couple here for their engagement photos and they're some of the best I've taken. Definitely try and book a night here at the hostel too!

On the clear day there is no better place to get a view of the San Francisco and the iconic golden gate. Also very interesting to see and read about the old bunkers!

If you're taking a trip up the coast or just wanting to get out for a night, this campground is so easy to access and right on one of the better surf spots in HMB. This place always seems booked but if you show up at 6pm they hand out sites that people have previously canceled.

Such a beautiful trail. This is equally as enjoyable as some of the Sierra treks and just so happens to be right in the Bay Area! Like Grant mentioned, definitely make sure you have a shuttle car or you'll be hitchhiking (like I had to) once you get out!

This is a must

Perfect little walking or running trail. Gets a little crowded on the weekends so parking and navigating through people can get difficult but definitely worth it!
