Lots of rocks to climb on and interesting desert. Trail is easy to walk and has cute placards to describe the flora and fauna.

We hiked to the grove from the visitor center immediately at the park's entrance. About 5-6 miles away each way, downhill for the first mile then uphill to the grove. I didn't really enjoy the hike - monotonous, no good views. but, once we got to the Grove, exploring the massive trees and tunnels was really interesting and fun

We went stand-up paddle boarding on Lake Crescent and camped there over night. The first day, the weather was overcast but not rainy, and the experience was fun but a little cold and mostly an attempt to stay dry. The next morning, however, the sun was out full force, the lake was shimmering, and it was the perfect temperature for swimming and paddling. Just like every adventure in Olympic National Park, this one is an INCREDIBLE experience on a great day, but great days are hard to come by
