This was my favorite hike in Capitol Reef!! It was fun figuring out how to scramble up the waterfalls and the canyon views were breathtaking! Your feet will get wet but it's totally worth it!

Did this as the second hike of the day to get some awesome pictures under the Hickman Bridge. Great payoff for such a short and easy hike!

Beautiful hike but check to make sure there are no closures (the Riomaggiore portion was blocked off when I went). Spend a little time in each village -- the food is amazing! Avoid the summer months if you don't like crowds!

This drive is a must do! There are many scenic view points along the way and is a photographer's dream. If you have a few days there's great camping along the way.

Drove up the California coast the other day and thought I'd have plenty of spots to choose from. I arrived here at 2:30pm (check out is at 2pm) and all the walk up spots were already taken -- on a random Tuesday! I can't even imagine the weekends. Make to reserve your spot or arrive early to nab a walk up!

This is the perfect short hike just an hour from Vegas if you need an escape from the glitz and gambling. It's not THE WAVE but if you angle your shot just right you might fool some people!

This hike has a special place in my heart as it was my very first backpacking trip. We couldn't make it out of slick rock with our packs but the group ahead of us (experienced climbers) had no problem getting out -- we ended up having to exit out of hurricane wash. Great trail, great views, and a must for your bucket list. Watch out for the ticks!

One of my favorite backpacking trips to date! The hike can be difficult and hot but it's totally worth it once you arrive at the campsite. The amenities are great -- clean compost toilets, potable water source, and even a cafe and fry bread stand of you're too tired to cook every meal. The only issue now is trying to get back here again -- nearly impossible to get a cancellation / walk in permit -- you must book many months in advance!

I did this hike during the winter and had a few falls due to the slippery snow -- but nothing could beat the views of the snow capped hoodoos. Make sure you have good traction and some hiking polls.

The hike is short and sweet -- my go to day hike when I'm short on time but want to get in a breathtaking view. As the highest accessible point in Shenandoah National Park, the view never fails -- whether in the summer with blue skies, green and flowery in the spring, bright with autumn colors in the fall, or snow covered in the winter!

Very cool -- easy walk out to the flats. You have to get creative with the pictures and try to utilize the salt formations so it doesn't just look like regular sand or snow!

Brought my snowboard out here but it was difficult to find a dune steep enough to board down. Maybe I needed special wax but I couldn't get enough momentum going. Will have to try again with an actual sand board!

Totally fulfilled my childhood "Misty of Chincoteague" daydreams! The ponies can get a little aggressive -- they came and ate everything off our picnic table and refused to be shooed away -- but it was totally worth getting a close up view of them! The biting flies are even worse -- unrelenting even with citronella candles and bug spray so be prepared! Otherwise a beautiful, expansive, peaceful beach and totally worth coming a few miles down from nearby Ocean City which is much rowdier.

Love these hikes -- short but rewarding. You'll be sure to get your heart going and if I lived in the area I would do this hike every day instead of going to the gym! Once you get to the "end of trail" sign explore a little beyond and scramble up the rocks for a breathtaking "secret" view!

Awesome affordable campsite but it gets packed and there is a bit of a party scene. Great for those who want a taste of a beach in landlocked Utah. Depending on the time of year, you can get regular cars out on the same (I took a minivan all the way out in September) but otherwise park at the parking lot near the bathrooms.

This short hike is a must if you're in the Page area. It's easy, beautiful, and best of all -- free! Mid day does bring in tour buses but there are plenty of rocks and ledges and if you're creative, you can hop on one of the and get a great "solo" shot.

I come back here every time I'm in the area! Although it's crowded with tour buses and difficult to get a picture without people (you pretty much have to hang out in the back of your group and snap them quick before the next tour group comes around), it's beautiful and great reward for little effort. Come early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds -- I took a 4pm tour and my two girlfriends and I had the whole place to ourselves!
