This is a massive, beautiful waterfall that can be photographed from many different angles on both sides of the river as well as IN the river!

The Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is home to several waterfalls, with the Cumberland Falls being the largest, most prominent, and most well known. It is also called the Niagara of the South due to its size and volume of water flow. It is famous for being the only place in the Western Hemisphere where a moonbow (rainbow caused by moonlight) is regularly seen, and access to the falls is open at nights around a full moon to allow people to see this phenomenon. During the day you can pay to raft or kayak close to the falls to photograph it or just experience the power of the 70ft waterfall close-up.

There are public bathrooms, plenty of free parking, a gift shop, a visitor center, and a small food shop all close to the falls. Additional trails in here lead to other falls, such as Dog Slaughter Falls and Eagle Falls. While in the area, you also may as well stop by the Pinnacle Knob Fire Tower as well!
