Guided underground cave tour, and you can use flash for photography located in The Mammoth Cave National Park.
One of the main reasons we chose the Diamond Caverns tour vs The Mammoth Caves tours, is we could use flash when taking pictures. Our kids were very excited to tour the caves and take pictures of them. When we found out that the Mammoth Caves does not permit flash photography, we decided to tour the Diamond Caverns instead. We were not disappointed. The caves were amazing and very beautiful. There was a area that had names carved into the rocks that date back before the Civil War. The tour was led by a guide and lasted about an hour. It was a walking tour that was about .5 mile round trip. We visited in August and it was about 93°outside, but it was around 60° when we got down into the caves. I would estimate we went down 75-100 feet underground. These are wet caves, so they have a lot of stalactites hanging from the roof of the caves. I have been into other dry caves that didn't have stalactites and they are not as "photogenic" as these caverns.
