This is a great hike at altitude and can be done in the winter close to just as easily. Great views of nearby 14er's and the towns below make this a great outing. If you are doing this in the winter, an axe might be advisable depending on the snow coverage. Ice spikes also could give you some extra peace of mind on the final push to the summit.

This is a fun day and a nice way to have a new experience over the whole course of the hike instead of making it an out and back. There is only a short section of third class that is required but you can find more towards the top if you want it. A good way to break into harder scrambling if that is what you're after!

The falls themselves are spectacular, but the area can be somewhat crowded. It is a good spot to hit on your way in or out or Ouray for a half hour or so.

Yankee Boy Basin is a very accessible off road trail that can probably be managed by most high clearance 4wd cars. It is a great place to explore. You can also use it to access Sneffels among other things

Although there are much better hikes in the area, this is a nice starter if you are from a lower elevation. It is both a reasonable distance with little elevation gain with great reward.

This hike is a good workout that can be done in just a few hours if you live close to town. If you stay on the trail you will not encounter any scree, but on the way down the dirt is fairly loose and steep. This seems to be standard for most mountain hikes around the springs though.

A nice hike that Is not too long. It takes a while to drive to the trailhead despite the minimal mileage due to road conditions. An awd high clearance would probably be fine to the trailhead. The top has great views of pikes

A nice area to go walk around for an hour or two. The trails are all interconnecting but you can make it around to the top fairly easily. If you want to do some minor scrambling you can do that too.

Bag both at once! The route finding is simple and fast and although exposed never exceeds class 3. The hardest part for me was hiking down the backside of Evans in the drainage gully. The trail can also be very muddy down at the bottom of this so be prepared for that!

There are many diffferent ways to do this as there is a road going all the way to the summit. If you want to bag both the nearby summits do the ridgeline between the two! You can also sometimes spot goats at the top

I have seen three moose in Rocky two of which were on the west side which is where I am told is the best place to find them if you look around dusk or so.

RMNP is a great place to be in the winter and this campground is one of the few in the area that gives you access to this amazing landscape in the off season. Off season might mean cold, but it also means no crowds!

This is a nice walk that brings you to a great view of Spearhead, Pagoda, and the side of Longs. The walk does not have too much elevation and because of the ease of the trail you can make the trip pretty short

This is the most beautiful lake I have found in Rocky. If done in the summer there are waterfalls surrounding the lake. You can sometimes find fish in the lake and birds surrounding the lake as well.

This is a nice walk to a waterfall for families from sea level or if you are looking for an easy walk. The falls are not extraordinary, but worth going to if you are looking at keeping it mellow.

This is a very popular trail with the tourists during the summer and there can be traffic jams at constrictions in the trail. This is fine if you are going for a casual walk, but if you are peak bagging or extending your hike from here then walk fast! We packed a kayak and kayaked these lakes before which can be cool

We climbed this in August of 2019 and got stuck in an early rainstorm on the way down. It was an amazing position being up on the small summit. If done again I would walk off - the raps caused multiple stuck ropes

This lake is easy and handicapped accessed which is great but also makes it crowded. If you are planning on doing this early then you will find a spot, but I have also seen this parking lot fill up by 0700 on spring weekend

If you are looking to start in the ADK then these are the mountains to do it. The hikes are manageable an well trafficked which make route finding easy compared to some of the others. The views are also great. Parking can be a bit of a hassle but if you get there early you should be fine.

This is the highest of the 46 and a worthy objective. I did this over two days which made it more enjoyable. With it being one of the tallest it is also mostly above treeline which gives you 360 views for the top which makes for a great experience.

There are better hikes in ADK but this is nice if you have done the big ones. There are not as many views on this, but once you get to the top you have some looking south.

This is one of the cooler summits and one of the highest 46. A large majority of the hike is above treeline which is sweet for the east coast.

This is a nice place to stop by and check out if you are doing the loop, but not as cool as I thought it was going to be. You also have to pay to park unless something has recently changed.

These springs are a great place to swim after the hike in. The way in is scenic and the actual pools have areas to change and walk all around to make it more convenient
