This is a nice easy backpack for those looking to get out. The hike in is open and then the canyon gets a bit steep and bouldery. Around here there are a few swimming holes which can be fun. The actual power plant is a nice bit of history. Try to take out a bit more trash then you bring in. The area is unfortunately getting a bit littered

This area is kind of classic due to this picture that has been featured many places across marketing and social media. The walk is easy and you will likely be there with many other tourists. If you really want some fun climb the mountain after you take your photo!

If you are making your way around this peninsula this is a nice stop. There are places to get food nearby and the lighthouse's position overlooking the ocean is beautiful.

If you are looking for a nice place to run in the morning this is it. There are great views of the Tetons as well as the likelihood of seeing a lot of wildlife. Obviously you can just walk around too if you are not in to running

This is a nice canyon, but there are better. Death Canyon nearby as well as Paintbrush and Cascade further north are both better options. The canyon opens up for a short time towards the top allowing great views, but for the most part you are hiking in the woods

This lake is a nice place to camp by, but it does not have many available sites making obtaining a permit a bit hard. It is a good point to do an out and back or to stop by along one of the many possible loops in the area.

This was our first backpacking trip in GTNP and it was great. My favorite segment was the second day between Marion Lake and Death Canyon. You are able to see much of the higher peaks from this open area. In early season, snow can make the trail a bit harder to follow here. Paintbrush loop is a bit more scenic, but this is less crowded.

This is a famous spot for photography especially in the morning and rightfully so. The light on the Tetons is truly exceptional at this time and putting the barn in the foreground really makes the scene.

This is an amazing place to go and spend the day. The water has varying degrees of temperature depending on where you are in the pool so if you are worried about being too hot or too cold you can swim to the appropriate location! There was also recently a water slide built in, but I have not been since to explore that.

This is a good place to go if you have a group or if you do not trad climb, but if you are doing it just for a few climbs go elsewhere! Boy scouts and guided groups frequent here and can take up the majority of the climbs

This is the best hike I have ever done. It was June so it was light for 24 hours and we summited at 1130 at night. There are some skinny ridges and ropes you can use to climb which makes the experience much more fun. There are also seagull nests up and down the entire ridge which can be entertaining to watch.

This is a nice place to paddle if you stay to the far north or south of String Lake. In the middle, there can be swarms of swimmers and people picnicking on the beach. The portage to Leigh Lake to continue your paddle on larger waters is definitely worth it. There are less people here.

This loop is great if you have a day or two in the area. The pass gives great views of the lakes below and on the western side of the loop you get an amazing view of Lake Solitude. The permits for this loop can be pretty tough to get so get to the ranger station early the day before!

This is a great hike because so much of it is above treeline which gives you expansive views of Colden's slides to your east and the varying 360 degree terrain. You also get to see plane wreckage and summit 3! This is one of the longer days in the ADK I had so be prepared for a good amount of gain and mileage.

This route is one of my favorite out of the 20+ 46 I have done. Avalanche pass to a nice summit to Arnold is a great loop. You get to travel varying terrain and summit one of the 46. If you are looking for a step up, the trap dike can be used to summit instead of the western trail.

I have done this a few times only because it is truly a unique area and for people that are new to ADK without the ability or the want get to a summit, this is a manageable hike from the Loj.

The Precipice is one of those classic National Park hikes where it just would not have happened without the resources that come with it being in a NP. It is steep with rewarding views and the top is my favorite position in Acadia. The trail is often closed in early season for nesting raptors.

This is an awesome hike that you can hit in a few hours. You get to avoid a lot of the hassle of going into Arches and you get to see one of the coolest arches in my opinion. There is some minor scrambling and a bit of exposure, but if you are comfortable with that you're golden!

This is a nice, peaceful place to relax and if you are headed down to Brook Pond it is worth it to stop by here as well.

This is a nice little hike especially if you can catch it during the fall colors. The trail is well marked and there are benches along the way so you can rest on the way back up when you are gaining the elevation back.

While the climbing may be sub-par the view and experience are not. The climbing is relatively easy and if you or your partner cannot climb 5.10, the gear can easily be pulled on. The beached whale move can be tough for the shorter folk but the experience is amazing.

A short drive with little time commitment if you are in the CO Springs area. You get nice views to your east the entire way and you get to enjoy Cheyenne Canyon as well. It is usually always fairly well maintained as well.

It is great to go and look out over the cliffs, but it can be even more fun to climb. There are bolts set up and other places where you can build your own anchor. Some of the climbs are safer depending on the tide though

A good walk for the area. The access is easy and the trail is easy walking until the last hundred yards or so, but you can view the falls from above if you are unable to go down. It can be crowded during the summer, and I have seen people being cited for swimming in the past.
