Morning Exploration at Trinity Lake
Lewiston, California

Amazing landscape formed by erosionForest, a desert terrain, lake, snow, almost everythingRoads and trails to follow
My grandparents have lived in the area (Trinity Center) for quite a while now, so I'm up at the lake quite often. This lake has always been there in my childhood and aslo hold many memories of mine, including sumers of fishing, wakeboarding, and being with family. One of the last few times I was up, my older brother (who's in college) was with us for summer break, so as one of our adventures we decided to pack our bages and take a "morning stroll".
Due to the drough California has been facing for these last few years, the loved lake was at an all-time low, so we had no idea what we were going to find. Preparing for the unexpected, we brought an inflatable boat, food and water, hiking boots, and of course a map. Some of the highlights of the adventure included rafting up river and through narrow passes, seeing the sun rise over one of the mountains, and riding a plank of wood down a steep dirt hill by the river bank.
Although I am heart-broken that the lake was so low, this morning adventure was one of the most fun experiences I've shared with my older brother.
