Cronan Ranch Regional Trails Park is located in the rolling hills bordering the American River, before entering into the higher elevations of the Sierras and surrounding areas. Cronan Ranch is home to 12 miles of trails ranging in difficulty. This fantastic park is also home to many different activities other than hiking.. such as Fishing, Horseback riding, and Parachuting.

Park in the parking lot right off of Pedro Hill Road. Parking is free, from the parking lot continue down the service road through the gate. To the left shortly after the gate is a map of the park. Along the trial their are several of these maps. Here is a hyperlink of a map of Cronan Ranch Regional Trails Park.

Continue on the road which is titled Cronan Ranch Road or hang left to take the Long Valley trail. At some point Cronan Ranch Road meets again with the trail so it is possible to make it a loop. At a point in the Long Valley Trail their are some old abandoned barns. These barns along with a meadow, a river and many other features make Cronan Ranch Regional Trails Park a great place for photography.

In the Park many of the trails connect and it is possible to make a full day of hiking and adventures. Cronan Ranch Regional Trails Park is managed by the Bureau of Land Management... the Park is open form Sunrise to Sunset all year. It is possible to get lucky and watch some people parachute from a hill in the park. Cronan Ranch is home to a number of different activates. From Fishing to Horseback riding, and Hiking and Swimming.
