Thrill the kids with a day at Carowinds theme park (about an hour away). Explore Old Salem Moravian Village. Ready to shop? North Carolina is famous for its furniture outlets. Time your visit for race day at Charlotte Motor Speedway or the National Hot Air Balloon Rally. Then recharge at KOA, where camping is easy, thanks to level sites, air-conditioned Camping Cabins, a fenced pet area (with shelter) for large and small dogs as well as a playground and a game room to keep the kids entertained.
