Description

Added by Danielle Tourigny

The serenity of the pond is balanced by the lively wildlife that make this trail such a pleasure. You will be so caught up in the natural beauty of this place that your run will be over before you know it!

Park in the Jamaica Pond parking area. You can go either direction on this loop trail, which is highly trafficked and dog-friendly. Keep a lookout for (and a respectful distance from) the wildlife that live here. The loop around Jamaica Pond itself is 1.5 miles. The best part about running in this area is that it links up to so many other running trails. It is a part of the Emerald Necklace which includes Back Bay Fens, Olmstead Park, the Riverway and Arnold Arboretum. You could easily run a half marathon through gorgeous green trails that are perfect for running.

Run the Jamaica Pond and Victorian Jamaica Plain Loop Reviews

When I was living in the area, this was a place that got me into running. I lived on the emerald belt and running to Jamaica Pond and around gave me a solid 3.5 mile run. The pond itself is 1.5mile loop and the entire thing is pretty scenic. I always wanted to take a rowboat out on the water but never did. Maybe one day!
