Bouldering in Mineral del Chico

To get to Mineral del Chico you have to drive 11 miles from the city of Pachuca. The town is next to the National Park El Chico, which you have to go through in order to get to the town. Registration and payment is not needed. Once you are in the town, it is necessary to buy food and water for the days you are going to be camping. There are different bouldering zones around the town. "Las Manzanas" is a good one, it has bouldering for all levels, from V1 to V10 and more difficult problems. There is very bad signposting, so it's always a good idea to ask people from the town if you have any questions.

To get to Las Manzanas, you have to go to the town's church and take the road on the left, once you are there you have to move 2.5 miles approx. until you see the restaurant Las Manzanas, you can left your car there and camp with no problem. The bouldering zone is in the forest and the access it's very easy from Las Manzanas; the forest is tricky though, so you have to be careful of not divert from the path because it's very easy to lose track of it.
