Watch the Sunset at Cannonsburg

Cannonsburg Ski Area is locally known as one of the best ski and snowboard parks in West Michigan. During the winter you will never see a day that there aren't people enjoying what this place has to offer. In the 'off' seasons there are opportunities to hike, mountain bike, or chill for a sunset. 

If you mountain bike there are many different trails to choose from that vary in length and difficulty, so choose which path you take based on your skill level and confidence. There is a possibility the trails will be pretty muddy, so be prepared to get down and dirty.

If you want to hike at Cannonsburg, you can also take the trails back in the woods, but be aware of any mountain bikers who are taking on the trails. Most commonly people who hike at Cannonsburg do so to watch the sunset.

This entails a not so long, but steep climb to the summit of the 'Face'. This is the largest hill at Cannonsburg Ski Resort. The chairlift at the top serves really well as a great place to set up and get ready to watch the sunset. Bring a blanket, have a picnic, hammock, listen to some chill music. The sunsets at Cannonsburg never fail to bring something worthwhile.

The top of the Face also offers great spots to take pictures. Pictures of the sunset, pictures of the chairlift, landscape pictures, and much more. There is a lot of opportunity to get creative and explore the different angles of otherwise ordinary pictures.

Basically this place is great for anything from photography to mountain biking, from hiking to ham mocking, or a place to take someone on a first date to have a picnic and watch the sun go down. This place welcomes creativity, and it will always reward you with a good time.
