A very short and steep hike where you can enjoys views of Carlton Peak and Lake Superior.

This hike is very short and rewarding. It doesn't take longer than 15 minutes if you wanted to make it a quick pit stop before or after you hike Carlton Peak.

From Hwy 61 just near Tofte, MN take Sawbill Trail. Go roughly 2.5 miles and the parking lot will be on your right. Once you are on the trail there will be a sign for Britton peak to your right. If you go straight that will continue on the Superior Hiking Trail; a great option to extend you hike for a longer route. Follow the sign to the right. You'll soon be climbing the steepest part, but it's not long until you've reached the top!

A great spot to catch a sunset and you won't have to walk far in the dark to get back to the parking lot!
