Description

Added by The Outbound Collective

The Lone Wolf Trail is a 1.7 mile loop trail located near Ballwin, Missouri that offers river views.

This hike or bike ride in Castlewood State Park is rated as moderate and starts out with pleasant views on the bluffs. Follow the orange blazes as the trail descends into Kiefer Creek Valley, where you will hike alongside Kiefer Creek.

The trail was originally built so that bicyclists could access the bluff area, but is great if you want to get outdoors for a hike, run, or walk too. You’ll be pleased by the beautiful ridge top views and the sounds of flowing water by the creek.

This trail is accessible year round and is dog friendly as long as they are kept leashed.

Hike the Lone Wolf Trail Reviews

Love this trail, the views at the top are beautiful and it was a great winter snow packed hike for my 7 year old and myself.

Just 1.5 miles it's an easy uphill hike. The terrain is a little unstable so real shoes would be handy! Took me less than half an hour and parking is free!
