Cracker Lake Trail is a hike that is beyond incredible yet flies under the radar. The hike kicks your booty all 12.6 miles but has the most rewarding sight with unbelievably blue water!
It is located on the less busy East entrance of Glacier National Park. There are few people, if any, on the trail. The hike is not an easy one but is SO worth the sore body. Just when you think you will never make it to Cracker Lake, you emerge from the forest, reach the top of a hill and lay your eye on the jaw-dropping scenery! There are snow dusted mountain peaks surrounding a magnificent, turquoise Cracker Lake. The water is chilly but the color is so inviting to take a dip! There is a small campsite on the far side of the lake for the true backpacking adventurers. You could spent a lifetime taking in this sight!
