Awesome trails and views here at Makoshika State Park. Frolf, camp, hike, backpack, and take in the views!
This park is amazing! Get up close and personal walking the trails and along river beds. There are many interesting rocks, petrified wood, pits, caves, and passageways. Be on the lookout for snakes as they have been spotted. The park is very easy to locate from the main drag in Glendive, just follow the signs! The is an out-of-state vehicle fee payable at the main entrance/visitors center. The 9-hole frolf course looks so unique and quite challenging, but I did not get a chance to play any holes. I saw people walking dogs, riding bikes, backpacking, picnicking, exploring and generally having a wonderful experience at Makoshika State Park. I can't wait to go back and do some camping. I predict the night sky is breathtaking!
