Description

Take in epic views along the entire hike, ending at a beautiful overlook of Hidden Lake with Bearhat Mountain towering behind it. This is a great spot for sunsets and you'll have a good chance of seeing mountain goats along the hike.

The trail starts at the Logan Pass Visitor Center, which is right in the middle of Going-To-The-Sun Road. It can be very busy during the middle of the day, but early morning and early evening will have less of a crowd.

It's a pretty short hike in a beautiful wide open alpine meadow. We were greeted by mountain goats only a few minutes into the hike and then saw half a dozen more when we got to the overlook. If hiking in the summer, you'll find wildflowers sprinkled all over the ground in the area after the snow has melted off.

Hidden Lake Overlook Reviews

I had just arrived at Glacier National Park, and decided to make this the first stop after a long day of driving.. The hike was short and fast but with stunning views of massive mountains the entire way. When I reached the overlook I couldn't believe my eyes! The sun was setting and the light was so magical dancing across the lake. Definitely a must do!
