Description

Added by Kristen May

Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park offers some of the most beautiful and colorful hikes in the state.

Valley Of Fire State Park is beautiful no matter how you see it, but in order to truly experience all of the park's wonders you have to explore and hike each or many of the trails. This can be done in as little as one day or as many days as you have to spend in the park. If you are hiking here in the summer be prepared for temperatures to be well into the 100's and try to plan your hikes for the early morning or evening hours. Hiking in this park can be challenging if you are not experienced with hiking in a dry desert environment.

This is the best photography spot close to Las Vegas. If you're headed to Zion it's worth a stop on the way there or back.
