The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Nevada is home to a few THOUSAND rock climbing routes. From easy access top rope, expertly bolted sport-climbing, and multi-pitch trad routes, Red Rock has it all.

The official address for Red Rock Conservation area for you GPS travelers is: 1000 Scenic Loop Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89161.

Head into the park, and you'll be on the one way Scenic Loop Drive. Red Rock is home to thousands of different routes, so it's easy to get lost amidst the rock. I recommend using Mountain Project to find specific route information.

My favorite areas in Red Rock are:

First Pullout: Panty Wall. This interestingly named wall features lots of easy sport climbing routes, great for warming up and for the beginner climber. It also features a slightly overhanging wall for the intermediate and advanced sport climber alike.

Calico Basin: Big Bad Wolf. This is a 5.9+ bolt protected 4 pitch sport climb. Where else do you get the opportunity to do multi-pitch without having to invest in a TRAD rack. Get on it!

Second Pullout: The Black Corridor. Someone has written an awesome adventure on The Outbound for this really cool area to climb at Red Rocks, check it out!

If you're looking for a place to camp, I highly recommend Red Rock Canyon Campground. It's $15 a night, and you're helping Conservation efforts keep the park open for all of us to use.
