An amazing place to camp or spend a day capturing New Jersey's nature and wildlife.
A fun place for all things nature, from a easy nature walk to camping! Entrance fees are charged per vehicle from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. Lake Nummy is available for swimmers. There are picnic tables and grills and a concession stand (open in summer) on the beach. Camping is open all year round. Many different types of campsites are available at the Belleplain State Forest. Alcohol is prohibited. Pets are prohibited in overnight facilities with the exception of Pet Friendly Campsites. Certain parts of the forest are open for hunting, for info on hunting contact the park office at (609) 861-2404.

Super chill spot to camp out. Belleplain is very peaceful and most importantly... dark! Great spot for some astrophotography. Find a clear, moonless night towards the end of summer and you can see the Milky Way over Lake Nummy
