Moderate hike to cool rock formations. Nice trails. Distance: 3 mile round trip to Tripod Rock and back.

This is a fun hike that is great for the entire family. The trails are really well maintained and Tripod Rock is a pretty amazing feature to check out. You can hike to the rock and follow your steps back to the parking lot for a 3 mile round trip or continue along the trail for a 4.4 mile loop. It's mostly flat with some mild elevation, nothing that kids can't handle. There are two really nice overlooks with great views and on a clear day you can see the New York City Skyline!

Hike Pyramid Mountain to Tripod Rock Reviews

Really enjoyed it but it was already very crowded in the early spring. Certain parts of the trail have less people but when you get to the rocks it can get very crowded. Still a good time. Really enjoyed hiking alongside the water.

I did this hike with friends at home in NJ. It was an enjoyable and not too difficult hike. There were some steep, rocky uphills but nothing kids couldn't do. The rock formation at the end was a good spot to have lunch.

Really fun little hike. A couple sections may be a little challenging for small children but, overall, easy to traverse. Bring a good pair of boots or old sneakers and don't be afraid to get them filthy.

Very chill hike, loved the mount stop view
