The Brooklyn Bridge Park spans over a mile of waterfront and is an awesome location for being active or just relaxing outdoors without leaving the city. There is a ton of grassy space to set up a picnic and watch the sunset and many other options for fun - basketball courts, a carousel, roller skating rink and playgrounds. There are concession stands throughout the park and lots of great restaurants just outside the park. Grab a pizza down the street at Grimaldi's and bring it to the park for an easy and tasty picnic.

What you see is what you get - and what you get is one staggering view of NYC! I recently visited the park during a blizzard and loved it. It isn't much of an outdoor adventure, but definitely worth seeing!
