Description

Added by Almedin Andelija

Rocky Mountain is one of the most popular hikes in the Inlet area. With its short trail and fun terrain, it opens up hiking opportunities for the entire family.

This half-mile, steep hike to the 2225 foot summit of Rocky Mountain has some great views of Fourth Lake and the surrounding area from it's open summit. Simply follow the steep, well worn trail (and yellow DEC discs) to the summit. The round trip of this hike is one mile, with an elevation gain of 448 feet. This hike is well worth exploring if you're in the Old Forge area. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Hike Rocky Mountain Summit Reviews

A shorter and easier (though no less steep) hike than its neighbor, Black Bear Mountain, Rocky Mountain is a great hike for families and hikers with dogs.
