If you want one of the best views of the Hudson Valley without needing to hike for hours, then this trail is for you! The view may be second to none and is quite simple and easy to reach.

This is more of a stroll than a hike, which is nice because you can add it to another hike in the same day if you're in the area. From the dirt parking lot take the trail off to the right. Just stay straight and in about 15 minutes you'll see a huge fire tower (hard to miss). Feel free to climb and take in the view! I'd highly recommend trying it at sunrise. Far off in the distance you can see the Catskill Mountains.

Directions: From Garden State Pkwy, I-87 S and Taconic State Parkway to Peekskill Hollow Rd in Putnam Valley. Take the Peekskill Hollow Rd exit from Taconic State Parkway, turn onto Peekskill Hollow Rd, then take a sharp right onto NY-301 E. Turn left onto Gipsy Trail Rd, then another left onto Mount Nimham Ct.

Ninham Mountain Fire Tower Reviews

Short hike between the trees and a beautiful sunset on the top. The tower is insane specially when is windy and you are afraid of heights and the view is wonderful. Love this place

Short walk up basically a service road lays out great views in every direction. Those afraid of heights may want to take it slow and steady, especially on a breezy day. Nice in all seasons, all times of day.

It was cold but it was in January, don't go if your scared of heights
