The Lake Skenonto Trail in Tuxedo Park, NY is a moderate difficulty, 8.12-mile loop trail. The trailhead is located near the parking area, making it easily accessible. The trail is well-marked with blue blazes and offers a variety of terrain, including forested areas, rocky outcrops, and a few steep inclines. The trail circles Lake Skenonto, providing hikers with views of the water at various points. There are also several viewpoints along the trail that offer panoramic views of the surrounding area. The trail passes by a large rock formation known as "The Pulpit," a popular spot for a rest and a photo opportunity. Hikers should wear sturdy shoes due to the rocky terrain and bring plenty of water, especially during the summer months. The trail is open year-round, but can be slippery in wet conditions. Despite its moderate difficulty, the Lake Skenonto Trail offers a rewarding hike with diverse scenery.
