Woods Hollow Nature Preserve in Ballston Spa, New York, offers a network of trails suitable for all skill levels. The main trail, a 1.98-mile loop, is moderately challenging with a few steep sections. It winds through a mixed hardwood forest, past a small pond, and up to a ridge with views of the surrounding countryside. The preserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, and numerous bird species. The pond is a popular spot for birdwatching, especially in the spring and fall migration seasons. The forest is dominated by oak and maple trees, with a few stands of pine and hemlock. Hikers should wear sturdy shoes and bring water, as there are no facilities on the trail. The preserve is open from dawn to dusk, and dogs are allowed on leash. The trailhead is located off of Route 67, with a small parking lot available.
