Description
Added by Lauren Schusterman
This is a short, 2.5km roundtrip hike up from the car park to beautiful Diamond Lake. In the winter, ice skating and sledding are possible when the lake is frozen.
From the car park follow the well marked trail. You will continue gradually uphill for around 30 minutes before reaching Diamond Lake. You can continue past the lake for approximately 15 minutes to get to a viewing platform. This part of the trail winds steeply uphill in a combination of gravel path and wooden steps. From the viewing platform you get a rewarding view of the lake and surrounding mountains so it is well work the extra hike. Return is via the same track back around the lake and down to the car park.
