Mount Ruapehu from Sky Waka Gondola Station

Summit of Dome Ridge on Mt. Ruapehu. Took the Gondola up the first portion, (cost $19 for New Zealan residents). The climb is unmarked. Plenty of scrambling towards the top with loose scree. Pretty manageable as long as you have good fitness. The top of the dome is a great spot to view Summit Lake. Highly recommend this climb to anyone with a day to spare. Don’t forget sunscreen!
