Hike Lille Raipas Trail

This hike is for you if you want something easy, yet rewarding. After about 20 minutes of hiking you will reach the top where you will have a stunning view over the Alta River and Alta Fjord. If you're lucky you will have a front row seat when a plane lands or takes-off at the Alta Airport (which is pretty spectacular because the only landing strip is situated right along the shore of the fjord).

You can also leave behind your name in a sign-in sheet that is in the container at the top of the trail. Look through it and see if anyone from your country or city has done this hike just like you! It is fascinating to see how many people make this hike, and how many people from all around the world have enjoyed this same view.

On this hike you will get to have the roaring of a waterfall, and the calm flow of the creek to listen to as you make the climb. There are a few places along the trail that give you a great view of the waterfall. For much of the hike the creek will be right near the trail, though there are a couple spots that are accompanied by small lakes that beautifully reflect the silhouette of the mountains near by. 

The trailhead is only 5km away from Alta city center, so there is plenty of things to check out after you're done taking in the beauty of this hike. Many places to eat, shop, and enjoy what the city has to offer. Alta may only have 20,000 inhabitants, but it has a lot to offer. Check it out!
