This park is full of beautiful trails, sports fields, and an awesome and unique playground.
Take the whole family out on an afternoon adventure to Bill Yeck Park!
This park has over 6 miles of hiking trails, spanning all levels of difficulty and terrain, including pavement, crushed gravel, mowed grass, and dirt paths. They range from 0.5 miles (red trail) to 3.0 miles (yellow trail), with the longest one following and crossing over Sugar Creek several times. If you enjoy hiking or backpacking, I highly recommend you park at the McGuffey Meadow entrance and try out the yellow trail!
If you have kids, the woodsy outdoor-themed playground will for sure be a winner! The ground is all soft artificial turf under the swings and playset, and there is also a more rugged section with carved canoes, a small open-air log cabin, and a brush tepee. For older kids, take the orange trail off the Smith entrance parking lot to hike some easy paths and woods trails. The apiary is on this trail as well, if you wanted to observe bees!
There are athletic fields and tennis courts open to the public, all you need to do is bring your own equipment. Bathrooms are located at the Smith, Forest Field, and McGuffey Meadow entrance parking lots.
