Cliff Jumping, Climbing rocks above water, Swimming

The Tenkiller cliffs offer a variety of heights of overhanging cliffs above deep water. Jumping may not be safe depending on water levels/how far out one jumps so ALWAYS CHECK THE AREA BEFORE JUMPING. there are some areas with underwater ledges below the cliffs where jumping is not safe so always check the depth before jumping and use good judgement.

The height of the jumps depend on the water levels, but there is usually a small jump that is around 5-10 feet, and medium jump around 25-30 feet and the tall jump of 35-40 feet.

Climbing the rocks above the water is potentially dangerous, but a lot of fun and relatively harmless when done right. Use good judgement, you are responsible for your own actions.

Go to Burnt Cabin Youth camp. Drive past the camp, continuing on the same road until it passes a few houses and turns into a rocky, rugged 4x4 trail. High clearance needed past this point. You can park in a turn-out before the road gets too bad and hike a couple miles to the cliffs on the lake. If you have four wheel drive and high clearance, you can drive all the way to the cliffs.

This spot is often plagued by broken bottles, empty beer cans and other trash. Every time I go I try and clean up a bit, making it better than when I found it. Please help to clean up the area rather than making it worse. Make fires in existing fire rings. Please practice leave no trace ethics.

I'm not entirely sure about the legality of camping, but I know that people often camp at this spot.

The water is warm (85) in late summer and early fall but cold (45) in the winter and spring. Is often crowded on weekends during the summer/early fall. Many arrive to the spot by boat.
