The Scully Ridge Trail is a 9.7 mile hike in Chino Hills that features a waterfall and scenic views of the surrounding hills and canyons.
This trail offers solitude and serene quiet as you work your way into the hills. If you visit this area after heavy rains, the falls will be running. The trail is open year-round and is shared by hikers, mountain bikers, trail runners, and horseback riders. You can also camp in certain areas in Chino Hills State Park.
To get here exit the 91 freeway at Green River Road. Take Green river road towards the Green River Golf course, park at a big dirt pullout on your right. Now start west toward the golf course. You will see the paved Santa Ana River Trail heading west - take this trail. Cross the bridge over the Santa Ana River and follow the paved trail until you see the underpass for the 91 Freeway. From here head south under the freeway overpass to the Chino Hills State Park Sign. From the sign continue on the only path south. Then after a while you will come to the State Park Boundary. Now drop down to the right into the dry creek. Continue up the canyon avoiding all side forks in the trail. Soon you will approach the narrows where the falls are located. Watch out for rattlesnakes!
