Wallowa Lake is one of Oregon's 7 Wonders. Being right off of Wallowa Lake Highway, with easy parking, this is a must-do if you're in the area.

Located just outside of Joseph, Oregon, Wallowa Lake offers a view of breathtaking mountain tops. Known as the "Oregon Alps" or "Little Swiss Alps", The Wallowas offers endless opportunities for exploration. During the winter months you will most likely have the lake to yourself as visitors tend to prefer to visit The Wallowas in the summer months.

There is a boat loading area on the north side of the lake just outside of Joseph that offers the best view of the Wallowa Mountains from the Lake. This is the best place to start and from there you can continue on Wallowa Lake Hwy to the state park.
