Description

Added by Rachel Davidson

Suttle Lake Loop is a beautiful lakeside trail within the Deschutes National Forest that offers a nice walk around or a great outdoor track arena for trail run training.

Beginning at the Suttle Lake Lodge just off Highway 20, the Suttle Lake Loop follows a wide dirt path that circumnavigates the entire lake. Hug the lake whenever the trail opens up to camping areas or pavement - it's nearly impossible to become lost on this track.

Pass campsites, kayakers, and recreationists out for day hikes along this super-popular and easily accessible trail. Enjoy views of the towering Mt. Washington from the lodge side of the lake, and Black Butte from the opposite end. And finally... pack a lunch to enjoy on the dock or one of the many shores alongside the trail.

Suttle Lake Loop Reviews

A nice easy trail for beginners or those wishing to take a nice stroll with friends. Park at the west boat launch at the end of the road, then the lodge will be your halfway point.
