In need of a great place to fish with endless opportunities? Better go to Rose Valley Lake.

Rose Valley Lake, if you did not know is not a natural lake, it is man made. Construction of the 389-acre lake was completed in 1972. I prefer to fish for bass from the boat, but I will not hesitate to go out ice fishing in the winter either. On the lake, boats are limited to electric motors or good old fashioned human muscle power.

The Lake is the perfect place when fishing for bass, bluegill, crappie, and perch, but, be on the look out tons of birds all year round including ducks, gulls, swans, hawks, and in the past 5 years the Bald Eagle. If you are on the north side of the lake, check the marsh, by going under the bridge, for herons, turtles and many other animals around the reeds.

A boat or kayak are the best way to get to those hard to reach places, but, do not let that discourage you from fishing from the shore. Parking at any of the three main boat launches and taking a little walk will make it seem like you are all alone on the lake shore. I prefer to park on the south side of the lake. It gives you the most options for fishing from the shore or boat because it is a peninsula, it also gives the easiest access for ice fishing in the winter as well.

Fish at Rose Valley Lake Reviews

This is a beautiful lake, it's fun to paddle the kayak around as well as fish. It's a nice spot for photography especially in the morning or evening.
