Description

Added by Adam Ryan

This is just a few minutes up from Cucumber Falls and completely worth checking out.

This trail connects Old Mitchell Trail to Johnathan Run Trail. It is a short but fun hike down to the falls. We parked by the helicopter landing field and the trail head was right by the entrance to the parking lot.

The hike down to the falls was nice and easy, but coming back up was tough. The trails are all well kept and are marked with orange blazes. When you get to the bottom of the trail there is a series of waterfalls and spots to wade in the water.

We got too excited when we saw the first fall and wandered off the trail. Trying to get to the other side was a pain and lead to some compromising situations with a lot of cursing. If you find yourself in this similar situation, hop back on the trail and follow it some more. There is a bridge that will get you to the other side of the stream and save you some aggravation.

This is a great spot and I can't wait to see it here in the fall.
