Description

Take a relaxing hike through the forest that ends at an awesome waterfall.

The trailhead is at a large gravel parking area off of Wallis Run Road. The trail begins on a boardwalk over a wetland that leads into hemlock forest and mixed hardwoods.

The yellow blazed trail follows Jacoby Hollow at a steady slight incline and leads to the 45 foot Jacoby Falls. Best times to visit are spring or after a soaking rain. Visit in the winter to view a frozen Jacoby Falls. Scramble to the top of the falls to explore further and relax at one of the primitive camping spots.

Hike to Jacoby Run Falls Reviews

I went during a time when there hadn't been a lot of precipitation and I wasn't as prepared for the ice as I thought I was, but aesthetically, it was a nice place. The view of the mountains was nice, but there was a lot of "eh" buildup until getting to the waterfall. Worth the walk though.

The this a great trail to just get out and enjoy the woods and to introduce littler ones to hiking. Winter is an awesome time to go.
