Take in the spectacular views of Hyner View with the added bonus of watching people take off and fly their Hang Gliders.

Hyner View State Park is located in North Central Pennsylvania Between Lock Haven and Renovo on Route 120 along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.

The park has plenty of parking, picnic areas and spectacular views. What makes this State Park unique is the foot launch for hang gliders and paragliders.

In order to increase your chances of witnessing hang gliders, check the Hyner Hang Gliding Club page for the fly-in schedules typically held during the Weekends of Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.

Hyner View State Park Overlook

I think this might be one of, if not the best, views in Pennsylvania. You get +180 degree view of the West Branch Susquehanna River Valley and surrounding mountains. I've never been to see the hang-gliders but would love to watch some day. Camping at nearby Hyner Run State Park is nice as well.
