Description

Added by Ryan Cline

One of the only open ceiling caves in San Diego if not the entire west coast...this place is rare and the city likes to keep it that way. The cave itself is about fifty feet wide and fifty feet tall, the opening itself is around twenty feet wide. The colors at this place really pop during sunset and the afternoon especially when the sun is either directly coming through the west-facing hole.

Starting from you parking spot on the street you will see it right away. Then look to the right in the small bay--to the right of it you'll see a small place to climb down. There is no rope so be careful when scaling it. Walk south until you hit the reef wall and walk along it until you get around the corner. You will see the cave opening and depending on the tide you can either walk in or rock climb a little shelf around to the inside.
