Added by Keegan Donley
This is a great network of trails about 15 minutes from Santa Rosa, with multiple trail loops and picnic areas!
With multiple loops of varying length, this park is great for anyone looking for a casual hike around a beautiful area in the foothills of Rohnert Park. Crane Creek has nice secluded picnic areas next to the creek in the cover of willow, alder, buckeye and bay trees. There's also an 18-hole disc golf course available to play. Parking costs $7 for the day from an automated machine, but with the Sonoma County Parks membership, parking is always free.

Hike Crane Creek Regional Park Reviews
I have now visited Crane Creek twice, once of the weekend and once on my commute home from work. Both were fun and very relaxing. The parking lot does get packed quickly, this is a popular spot! But, the walk and bird song are worth it. I went last night and watched the sunset from one of the many benches and listened to the meadowlarks sing out the day. The trails are well marked and all are appropriate for all skill levels. The trails are mostly exposed so make sure to wear a hat or some other form of shade cover. This is definitely a place I will visit again after work!
