Amazing views of the city with a hike that can be deceptively strenuous at times. Make sure to check the weather so you can get to the top without fog!

There are a ton of ways to get here (and obviously that can affect the total distance) but this is starting from Clarendon. Follow along up Twin Peaks boulevard where you'll see the peaks upon your approach. Keep an eye out for traffic as there may be visitors driving toward and away from Twin Peaks.

While hiking, be careful since there is poison oak. But other than that, just keep aware of where you're at since signs sometimes disappear and enjoy the view from the top. If you do bring snacks/ lunch, this is a great place to chill and take some photos.

Thinking of driving to the top for a sunrise or sunset? Check out this adventure.

Twin Peaks Loop Reviews

We went up here for a friends birthday. The views of the city are iconic, but the wind was what made the day so memorable. Try taking pictures with your hair flying around everywhere. Pretty fun photo spot, but not a hike.

Twin Peaks is just 3 feet shorter than the highest point in SF, Mt. Davidson. That being said, it's one of the best training grounds for runners or hikers wanting to add elevation gain into their exercise regimen. Whether you're running laps around the two Twin Peaks, or doing sprints up and down its super-steep stairs, this is a first-class landmark to enjoy sweeping city views while getting in a killer workout.
