Costa Rica is a rugged rainforest country located in Central America. It has coastlines on both the Caribbean and Pacific oceans and is known for its beautiful beaches, active volcanoes, countless waterfalls, and incredible biodiversity. In May 2015, I had the opportunity to explore this country for 16 days and have summed up my 8 favourite places I recommend you visit.

2) Experience the Waterfall Garden at La Paz. La Paz is a large, privately owned ecological reserve, featuring hiking, several waterfalls, and a rescued wildlife preserve. (Photo location: La Paz Waterfall Garden)
