Reedy falls via Swamp Rabbit Trail

Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 21 mile-long paved walkway that closely follows the Reedy River in Downtown Greenville. Over a half-a-million people visit the trail each year, but few ever walk the whole thing. What most people don’t know, is that it begins on a different river: the Enoree river and winds its way down to the Reedy River. 

I suggest parking at Mayberry Community Park and then hopping on the trail at that point. This will give you a fun 3 mile out-and-back route to the falls. If you want to hike the entire trail, you’ll need to park at the of Tate Road in Traveler’s Rest. The path is well marked, but it is a very long trail, bring plenty of water.  Once you reach the falls you are free to play in water and swim after your long hike down. The trail continues on to Greenville Tech, but I wouldn’t walk much further than past Cleveland Park. Enjoy!
