Description

Added by Nacho Palou

This is an amazing desert landscape, a natural park between Navarra and Aragón with tracks in good shape for cars (4x4 recommended if rain) and motorcycles and a lot more trails for hiking and cycling.

Following the trails that are suitable for cars and the route can be loop, out-and-back or point-to-point, as wished. A military zone with no fence but marks should be avoided.

The park can be traveled by walk, Segway, bicycle or by car. Cars can only travel on allowed tracks. Although it is possible to stop at the side of the tracks, you can't park outside the parking areas.

The best way to get far inside the parks is walking following the paths. You can also go on horseback.

Some natural areas and structures like the «castildeterra» should not be touched nor stepped. This zones are marked. It is important to watch the rivers because they can increase the flow in short periods of time (like a few hours) hindering the return.

There is a visitor's center in the road to one of the entrances, in the «official entrance», where you can get info, guides, recommendations and maps for free. The information is also available in the Bárdenas Reales website.

Bardenas Reales de Navarra Reviews

While it is not that spectacular of a drive up there (mostly through farmland), once you get onto the loop it is an incredible drive with lots of interesting stops for exploration and pictures!
