Paraglide in the Swiss Alps

There are few places that are quite as magical as the Swiss Alps. Towering peaks, rich culture, iconic architecture, and rolling green pastures; it's a storybook setting. 

While there are a multitude of ways to enjoy Switzerland, paragliding amidst the Swiss Alps tops the list. Once the snow melts (and sometimes before!), paragliding commences from many mountaintops in Switzerland. Thanks to a variety of tandem paragliding tour operators, there are a variety of places you can experience this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. However, I have to say I am a bit partial to Grindelwald. Tucked into a pocket of the Swiss Alps, this quaint town provides a perfect setting for you to soar over (a tad more idyllic than neighboring Interlaken). Don't let the clouds scare you away; as long as your pilot can get an opening, flying through the clouds adds a whimsical awe to the paragliding experience. 

There are a number of operators eager to take your money, but give Paragliding-Jungfrau a try in the first instance. They will assist with your shuttle or chair lift ride up to the top of the mountain of choice.
