Mount LeConte
Gatlinburg, Tennessee
Description

Waterfalls and scenic views.
We took the rainbow falls trail up which has to be one of the most tiresome trails I have taken. It is mostly loose rock so your ankles and legs get a workout. This path winds around the mountain near many of the waterfalls. We went at the beginning of May which meant that this normally busy trail had few people on it, but it was quite foggy until about midday. After reaching the peak, we took bullhead trail down which was a much easier hike. It totaled about 8.5 hours for the ascent and descent.
