360 degree views of the smoky mountains! The tower offers great views and amazing views of the night sky!

Look Rock tower has spectacular views and is a great hike to enjoy year round. The tower is an old fire tower used for spotting smoke in the valley. Because of this the tower is placed on the highest ridge around making for some amazing views. The only way to get to the tower is along the Foothills Parkway. On the parkway you park at parking lot #6. Once you park all you have to do is follow the signs to the trail head from there its a short paved hike all the way to the top. Once you come to the split in the road take the left path on the road. Do not go right because it will take you back to the road. The tower can be a spot that's used for many things the best time to visit the tower is at sunset and watch the sun set over the town of Maryville. Another good time to view the tower is at night in the summer during milky way season it is amazing to see all of the stars and the milky way across the sky. Although the pathway is mostly paved it can be a little rough at times so you need to be careful not to step off the trail in the wrong place.
